Two heritage railways in a week! Following my visit to the Severn Valley Railway the previous weekend, on Friday I visited the Great Central Railway near Loughborough, as they were hosting their annual model railway event.
A weekend away in Bewdley, Worcestershire, gave me the perfect opportunity to spend an entire day on the Severn Valley Railway, a heritage railway running for 16 miles between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.
A few short diary notes from our first trip out with the caravan this year, to visit the City of Oxford. The city is famous amongst other things for the oldest university in the world, and as an historic backdrop for Inspector Morse, Harry Potter and I’m sure many more!
