Our annual coach trip to London, this time to see ‘Wicked – the Untold Story of the Witches of Oz’.

Yet another excellent day trip organised by Tiffany’s Aunt. The musical is running at the Apollo Theatre close to Victoria Station. So after a flying visit to Vauxhall Bridge and James Bond’s secret headquarters, we had lunch at the Loco Mexicano, a Mexican / Cuban Cantina and Cocktail Bar only a short walk away from the theatre. Good value and a really enjoyable atmosphere!

Then on to the show! I have to say I wasn’t aware of the storyline to Wicked, or of any of the music, but that didn’t seem to matter. The production had all of the qualities we’ve come to expect from our London theatres, with wonderful performances by all of the cast, and equally impressive set design and special effects. And if you’re already familiar with the story of the Wizard of Oz (isn’t everyone?), it makes this musical an absolute Must-See!
